Counseling for perfectionism and burnout in Gainesville

For people who look fine from the outside, feel worn through on the inside, and suspect their own standards are part of it.

A closed laptop, a blank sheet of paper and a cup of tea on a desk in late light

What it can look like

A desk at night under one lamp with a squared stack of papers and a cold coffee
  • Rewriting an email five times before you send it
  • Feeling that rest has to be earned
  • Putting off work in case it is not good enough
  • Sunday evening dread that starts by Sunday noon

How we work on it

A hammock between two trees with a book left open on it, in dappled light

We look at where the standards came from and what they protect you from. Then we try small experiments, such as sending the email after one read, and notice what happens. The aim is standards you choose on purpose.

Questions about perfectionism and burnout

Do I have to change jobs?

No. Most clients stay in the same job. We work on what you can change in how you work, and if a job change comes up, the decision is yours.
